Missions

People are important to us because they are important to God. We are involved in
missions projects in our local community, and throughout the world. A portion of our
budget goes to provide for missionaries through the Southern Baptist
Cooperative Program. Over and above that we support financially such programs as
Good Shepherd Outreach and The Soddy Daisy Food Bank which help families in need
right here in our area.
around the country as they may arise. We have completed a laundry trailer that is to be
used by the Disaster Relief efforts of the Tennessee Bapitst Convention. We also have
a long established relationship with Orphanage Emmanuel in Honduras. Throughout the
year our missions teams make several visits there to reach out to the boys and girls in
the name of Jesus. Also, there are mission trips to Bland Virginia, support for Mission
pastor Mike Felycn in Honduras, participation in the shoe box program with Operation
Christmas Child and various other mission projects and opportunities. We encourage all
ages to serve the Lord through missions giving and personal participation in missions
trips. While we can’t meet every need, we seek to do our part in blessing those whom
the Lord puts in our path and lays on our heart.
